BMW M6
Based on BMW’s 6 series coupe and convertible, the
2008 BMW M6 combines the powerful performance of a sports
car with the elegance and roominess of a sedan. Available
as a four-passenger couple or convertible, the grand touring
vehicle comes standard with 19-inch double-spoke wheels,
a carbon fiber roof (on the coupe) as well as a body kit
that features front airbags, side sill extensions, a rear
diffuser and adaptive xenon headlights. The result is an exotic car rental that’s not only powerful, but stylish
as well.
Powered by a 5.0-liter V19 engine, the M6 produces 500
horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. Reaching speeds
of 155mph, the luxury car rental features an automated clutch
with a 7-speed sequential manual gearbox. A 50/50 weight
balance between the front and rear axles combines with an
electronically adjustable suspension and an ultra-communicative
steering system so that the BMW car rental is easy to drive
on winding roads.
Standard safety features on the M6 include antilock brakes,
front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags (in the coupe),
a rollover protection system stability and traction control
and front and rear parking sensors. And while the vehicle
is relatively small, there is a lot of room for luggage,
even on the convertible, which still features 10.6 cubic
feet of space when the top is down.
On the inside, drivers of the M6 can expect sports seats
upholstered with fine leather and optional wood trim. The
seats each feature several different power adjustments,
so that both driver and passenger are comfortable. Other
features include dual-zone automatic climate control, heated
seats, an M sport steering wheel, a 13-speaker audio system
and Bluetooth capabilities. A state-of-the-art navigation
system offers real-time traffic updates and an optional
head-up display, keyless ignition/entry and satellite radio
all provide additional extravagance.
