Ferrari 360 Spyder
Known by many as Ferrari’s “entry-level”
sports car, the 2008 360 Spyder combines typical Ferrari
speed and style with surprising function and drivability.
Designed by Pininfarina, the top Italian design firm revered
for conceptualizing all Ferrari cars, the luxury car rental features original rounded lines, bulging back fenders and
a low, sloping nose, which enables it to gain speed more
quickly.
Mounted behind the seats ahead of the rear axel is a 3.6-liter
V8 engine that features five valves per cylinder and produces
400 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 276 pound-feet of torque
at 4,750 rpm. A six-speed manual transmission comes standard
but drivers who prefer convenience can opt for semi-automatic
shifting through an F1 racing transmission that uses paddles
to change gears electro hydraulically. Antilock brakes and
traction control also come standard.
Designed to provide little drag against the wind, the exterior
of the car is both attractive and functional. A fastback
rear roof allows air to reflect around the exotic car rental while two large air intakes cool the engine. Five-spoke
alloy wheels show off 18-inch tires while four exhaust outlets
are visible in the rear. And when the top is down, rear
roll bars contain a mesh screen to prevent wind drag.
The interior of the Ferrari car rental is just as impressive
as the exterior. Available in 12 different shades of leather
are two bucket seats that can be customized with matching
threads and stitching. And, while the two-seater was made
more for speed than cargo, there’s still plenty of
space in the front and behind the seats to store special
luggage or a set of golf clubs.
