Ferrari
Based in Italy, Ferrari is known for producing
exotic sports cars with unparalleled style and speed.
Founded by racing and car enthusiasts Enzo Ferrari,
the company makes the most extravagant automobiles
for the wealthiest consumers. Featuring impressive
engines and sleek style, Ferrari’s are
the highlight of every car collection.
Ferrari began his career as a carmaker’s
apprentice. Soon after he began racing and discovered
he was not only passionate about the sport,
but good as well. He realized that he wanted
to make a car that could suit his racing needs
and decided to team up with Alfa Romeo, a respected
car manufacturer, and eventually founded his
own company.
The first car the company produced was the
Tipo 166, which included a 2.0-liter V12 engine.
Though the Tipo 166 had a very powerful engine
for that time, Ferrari realized that the design
was not up to par with other luxury car manufacturers
of that time and eventually joined forces with
Pininfarina, a famous Italian design house,
in the early 1950’s.
As a result, Ferrari began producing cars that
were powerful, but incredibly stylish as well.
Nowadays, Ferrari’s are difficult to come
by and are rarely seen on the streets. Often
protected in the garages of those fortunate
enough to own one, Ferrari’s are a true
symbol of wealth and power.
