Jaguar XK
Jaguar fans have waited several years for the 2008 XK, a luxury coupe and convertible that combines the power of a sports car with the style of a sedan. After being completely redesigned, the new XK is the perfect exotic car rental and, as a result of a new aluminum body structure and body panels, is much more lightweight so that it can drive a lot faster. The light weight is also said to improve the XK’s ride quality, crashworthiness and handling.
The luxury car rental comes standard with several extravagant features including 18-inch wheels, adaptive suspension damping, leather upholstery, rear parking sensors, xenon headlamps, power heated front seats with driver memory, Bluetooth connectivity and a high-tech touch screen navigation system. Powered by a 4.2-liter V8 engine, the car produces 300 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a standard six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control and propels the coupe from zero to 60mph in 5.6 second flat and the convertible to 60mph in just 6.3 seconds. A higher-performance Jaguar car rental can be found in the XKR, which features a supercharged V8 engine that generates 420 horsepower.
The Enhanced Luxury Package adds upgrades like 16-way power seats, leather-trimmed instrument and door inserts, a heated leather steering wheel and power-folding mirrors to the standard coupe and convertible while the XKR comes standard with several upgrades already. From 19-inch wheels, a firmer suspension with recalibrated adaptive settings, retuned steering and larger front brakes to adaptive headlamps, quad exhaust outlets, an aluminum mesh grille and bolstered front seats, the XKR includes several extravagant features not meant for the weak of heart.
